New onboading process for Volunteers.

From the discussion with Penny and Claud’s we have come up with a new onboading process for Volunteers.

The Website will have a new landing page that will help people to find out the information that they need before they apply or have to email ask basic questions. This will save lots of time and recourse emailing back and forth information that they can find out on the website. This will also help to build trust, confidence and make people feel comfortable about reaching out.

• Minimum 4 testimonies Videos from past Vol’s (Young and family)
• List of different roles
• Call to action (We are looking for)
• FAQ
• Social Icons (find out more, look us up, stay in contact)
• 43 Volunteers in Cambodia since 2013, 12 Volunteers in Australia since 2013, 6 Volunteers globally since 2013

This is an example template for the new volunteers on-boarding process. It will be broken up into Three sections. Please see “Volunteer Training Modules Planning Sheet” for detailed plan.
1. Pre-Application (Good to know info, who we are, what we do, what volunteering at Raw Imapct is all about, Etc.)
2. Pre – Arrival Infomation (visa, living, flights, what need to bring, etc)
3. Pre – Arrival Training (Hit the ground/office info, Etc)

These three website links above will be hidden links on the website and will be sent via email one at a time throughout the on-boading process. So all information is safe and not in public view.
Claud is creating the on-boarding process / time line in a spreadsheet to help track what documents already have and what needs to be completed. This has been created on Mark’s website to give you a visual of layout and design. Because its a wordpress site built on visual composer we can cut and past the code. So set up will take about 10mins.

Videos can be produced Via computer/webcam/video camera in a professional manner. Each video can be anywhere from 1 min – 10 mins long. As it’s easier sometimes to give information verbally rather than just on paper and as emails. Each video will come with a downloadable doc to follow up on what been said in the video as a resource.

Best part is most of the docs have already been completed by Clauds and Penny. It’s the videos that will take the time to plan and record. On saying this is information and content they know like the back of their hand so it should all be able to be recorded in one sitting. On simple topics its will roll off the tongue, other topics will need to be pre planed and scripted.

The benefits of breaking down the videos is that you can add and remove information as per needed.

This will be an incredibly professional on-boarding process that is slick and easy to follow as well as getting some Raw Crew faces on video to make people feel at ease that we are all normal people (lol)

Plus as most of the Vol’s are younger people its easy to share and show parents to give them the confidence they need to send there kids Overseas.

This is a very early draft stage and any suggestion would be appreciated.
